Artist BillyD is set to release their new album, "The Lost Highway," on October 5, 2026, through Foundry 27 Records. The album features fourteen songs built from stories about family, love, loss, and encounters along life's journey.
The release marks a shift in process for BillyD, the project of Chicago-area guitarist and songwriter William Daker. Previously the guitarist for the band Charmed Life, Daker now prioritizes storytelling as the foundation for his songs, with the music serving to enhance the narrative's emotion and movement.
"In Charmed Life, the guitar was how I had a voice. With BillyD, I found my new voice," Daker stated. "The Lost Highway" merges years of musical experience with life experiences, placing the narrative at the forefront.
"The Lost Highway" will be available on major streaming platforms, BillyD-Music's YouTube channel, and BillyDMusic.com starting October 5.
