BioArctic and Mesenkia to Collaborate on Oncology Research
BioArctic AB and Mesenkia Therapeutics have signed a research collaboration agreement to explore a novel antibody-based approach for glioblastoma. The collaboration aims to address challenges in delivering large molecules to the brain.

BioArctic AB and Mesenkia Therapeutics have entered into a research collaboration agreement focused on developing a novel antibody-based therapy for glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is identified as one of the most aggressive and treatment-resistant forms of brain cancer, where effective delivery of large molecules across the blood-brain barrier presents a significant hurdle.
The collaboration will integrate BioArctic's proprietary BrainTransporter™ technology with an antibody developed using Mesenkia's KITAIbodies® platform. This specific antibody targets the HVEM protein, the role of which in glioblastoma is under investigation.
BioArctic's BrainTransporter™ technology is designed to facilitate the transport of large therapeutic molecules, such as antibodies, across the blood-brain barrier into the central nervous system. Mesenkia's KITAIbodies® platform is focused on generating highly specific antibodies.
Successful outcomes from this collaboration could potentially lead to new therapeutic options for glioblastoma patients and advance the development of antibody-based treatments for central nervous system disorders. Further details on the collaboration's progress are expected in subsequent research phases.
