BioArctic's Partner Eisai Reports Leqembi Sales of 29.3 Billion Yen
BioArctic's partner Eisai announced that Leqembi sales reached 29.3 billion yen in the second quarter of 2026. This translates to a royalty payment of SEK 179 million for BioArctic.
BioArctic AB's partner Eisai has reported preliminary global sales for the drug Leqembi amounting to 29.3 billion Japanese yen for the second quarter of 2026. The figures were released in conjunction with partner Biogen's Q2 earnings report.
These sales generated a royalty payment to BioArctic of SEK 179 million. This represents an increase of approximately 10 percent compared to the royalty recorded for the second quarter of 2025.
The sales figures for Q2 2025 included a one-time inventory build-up effect in the Chinese market, which impacts comparability. Leqembi is a treatment for Alzheimer's disease jointly developed by Eisai and BioArctic, with Biogen handling commercialization in North America.
