Biomarker Technologies (BMKGene) has moved its Hong Kong laboratory operations to new, larger premises within the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP). This relocation signifies a major upgrade for the company's long-standing presence in the region.

The upgraded facility allows for an expansion of sample processing capacity to over 50,000 samples annually, the implementation of full automation, and the provision of more reliable and faster services to partners. The lab is BSL-2 certified for the safe handling of moderate-risk biological agents. It will support local universities and research institutes in areas including genomics, sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis.

Biomarker Technologies Chairman Hongkun Zheng stated that the move to the fully upgraded facility underscores the company's commitment to Hong Kong. He highlighted that the city's open policies and international connectivity provide a unique advantage. The company anticipates serving more scientific partners from Southeast Asia and beyond.

BMKGene plans to leverage the new laboratory by hosting regular workshops, technical seminars, and collaborative projects with local institutions to advance life science research.
