Birdfy Smart Bird Feeder Rookie Available at Discounted Price

Birdfy has lowered the prices on its smart bird feeder, the Feeder Rookie model, with several configurations available at discounted rates from retailers including Amazon and directly from Birdfy.

The standard model, which includes a seven-day trial of its AI-powered bird identification features, is priced at $59.99 on Amazon. After the trial period, users can identify up to ten birds per day without a subscription. An alternative version offering permanent AI identification access is available for $85.49, while the standard model equipped with a solar panel is offered at $79.99 directly from Birdfy.

The Feeder Rookie features a 1080p camera allowing users to monitor visiting birds via their smartphone in real-time. The device sends notifications when activity is detected. The camera can also capture slow-motion video and utilize color night vision, with recordings accessible through the Birdfy app. Unlike many competing models, Birdfy's camera is positioned to the side of the seed compartment, providing a closer view of the birds.

The unit is weather-resistant with an IP66 rating, and its battery can last up to four months on a single charge. The solar panel version offers continuous charging. The feeder holds 1.3 liters of seed and is designed for easy cleaning with detachable parts. Users can also share camera access with family and friends.
