Bitget enables autonomous trading for AI agents

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has launched a new account structure that enables its AI trading agent, GetClaw, to execute trades autonomously within a dedicated account environment. This development signifies a new stage in AI-driven trading, allowing the agent to perform real trades based on natural language instructions, monitor markets continuously, and manage positions in real-time without manual intervention.

The move builds on Bitget's previous introduction of GetClaw, an AI agent designed as a persistent trading partner, and the expansion of its Agent Hub, which integrated AI skills and data tools for market analysis and execution. The company stated these advancements reflect a progression from access to intelligence, and now to independent execution.

Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget, commented on the development: "Sooner or later emerging financial markets are going to be filled with AI agents trading on behalf of users. We’re preparing the infrastructure to run this on scale." The introduction of agent accounts reflects a broader trend where AI is integrated directly into trading environments rather than serving as an external layer.

The dedicated sub-accounts provide clear separation between user-controlled assets and agent-driven activity, enhancing transparency and control. Users can define strategies in simple terms, while GetClaw executes, monitors, and adjusts positions within predefined parameters.
