Bitget Introduces Crypto Collateralized Lending Service
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has launched a new collateralized lending service allowing users to use their digital assets as collateral to borrow funds. The service aims to enhance capital utilization for users on the platform.

Bitget, a global cryptocurrency exchange, has introduced a collateralized lending service that enables users to pledge their crypto assets as security to obtain loans. This feature is designed to help users maximize the utility of their holdings.
The service allows users to deposit specified cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as collateral and borrow other digital assets. Bitget highlights that this centralized approach offers advantages over decentralized finance (DeFi) lending, including stable interest rates, simpler operations, no on-chain gas fees, and enhanced security.
Borrowed assets can be freely utilized for various purposes, including spot trading, investment in Bitget's wealth management products, or withdrawal from the platform. The collateral deposited remains with Bitget as security for the borrowed funds.
The platform also detailed risk management measures, such as the Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio, which monitors the relationship between the loan amount and the collateral's value. Users are informed about potential liquidation risks if the collateral's value declines and are advised to maintain a safe LTV by adding more collateral or repaying part of the loan.
