Bitget Study: Millennials and Gen Z Show Higher Favor Towards Crypto
A Bitget study analyzing over 255,000 responses reveals that Millennials are the dominant group of crypto enthusiasts at 46%. The research also suggests regulatory representation can influence crypto-friendly societal changes.

Victoria, Seychelles – Crypto derivatives and copy trading platform Bitget has released a comprehensive study examining the relationship between demographic shifts and cryptocurrency adoption across generations.
The analysis, which processed over 255,000 survey responses from 26 countries, concluded that Millennials represent the largest segment of crypto enthusiasts, making up 46% of participants. The study also indicated that the representation of various demographic groups by government regulators may correlate with the likelihood of crypto-favorable societal changes.
Conducted between July 2022 and January 2023, the research involved over 459,000 preliminary respondents, with 255,000 providing complete data. The study correlated fertility rates and cryptocurrency adoption indexes in selected countries with factors such as the propensity of residents to use blockchain technology and demographic data of local cryptocurrency owners.
Respondents were categorized into four age groups: Baby Boomers (19% of the surveyed population, 8% crypto holders), Gen X (23% of the population, 25% crypto holders), Millennials (31% of the population, 46% crypto holders), and Gen Z adults (17% of the population, 21% crypto holders). The data highlights a disparity in digital asset usage among age groups, particularly noticeable in countries with long life expectancies and highly educated populations, such as Japan.
