This initiative removes traditional market hour constraints, providing traders with continuous access to global equities and aligning with Bitget's vision of a unified exchange (UEX).
Traditionally, stock markets operate within defined local trading sessions, creating periods where participants cannot react in real-time to breaking news or financial events. Bitget's new model aims to address this by enabling instant responses to market shifts, regardless of the time or day.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, stated that the move is a response to the evolving demands of the global financial landscape. "Markets react to information around the clock," Chen said. "Extending stock futures to true 24/7 access gives traders more control over timing, risk response, and opportunity capture on their own terms."
The available contracts include major equities and indices such as TSLAUSDT, NVDAUSDT, AAPLUSDT, MSFTUSDT, AMZNUSDT, METAUSDT, COINUSDT, and QQQUSDT. The exchange believes this will reduce the risk associated with weekend closures and overnight shocks by allowing faster reactions when news breaks.
