Bitget Updates API to Version 2.0 for Enhanced Developer Experience

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has implemented Version 2.0 of its Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), introducing several changes to interface operations and parameter management. The update is intended to enhance the developer experience and address previous inconsistencies.

A key change is the aggregation of interfaces. In V1, modifications to input parameters typically required adding new interfaces, potentially impacting live users. Bitget's V2 optimizes this by reducing redundancy and clarifying business scenarios. Additionally, global symbol request rules have been simplified, consolidating previous specific notations into a single symbol parameter.

The optimization of global query rules also introduces improvements. The V1 pagination method (pageSize, pageNo) has been replaced with cursor-based pagination using idLessThan and limit. A time-range data query has been added to most query interfaces, and user IDs can now be used for precise queries in specific trade record, execution, and order-related interfaces.

Naming rules have been standardized across different business lines and interface types, promoting consistency for parameters with the same meaning. The categorization and naming of interface catalogs have also been refined for better clarity and ease of retrieval. The depth of trading pair data for futures and spot trading has been increased, with standardized tiers across business lines.

Further updates include the merging of futures trigger orders and trailing stop-loss into a single function, differentiated by the planType field. Operations for opening and closing positions in futures trading have also been improved for both one-way and hedging modes by combining the side and tradeSide parameters.
