Bitmine Immersion Technologies has reported a substantial growth in its holdings of Ethereum (ETH). According to the company's announcement, it now possesses 5.79 million ETH tokens, representing 4.8% of Ethereum's total supply, which stands at approximately 120.7 million tokens.
This strategic investment is part of the company's broader "Alchemy of 5%" objective, aiming for its ETH holdings to cover five percent of Ethereum's total supply. Bitmine has achieved 96% of this goal in just 13 months, indicating rapid progress in its investment strategy.
The company's total cryptocurrency and liquidity assets are now valued at $11.8 billion. This figure encompasses not only significant ETH holdings but also other cryptocurrencies and readily accessible liquid assets.
A share repurchase program has also been active. In the past week, Bitmine has bought back 6.1 million shares of its common stock. This program is part of strategic measures to manage the company's financial structure.
