Bittium Reports Significant International Growth in Defense Business in 2025

Espoo, Finland – Bittium Oyj, a technology company, reported significant international expansion in its defense business during 2025. The company stated that its product development investments and strategy for internationalization began to yield results. A deteriorating global security situation and Europe's efforts to reduce reliance on non-European entities have increased demand for Bittium's tactical network solutions and radios.

The fourth quarter of 2025 proved exceptionally strong for Bittium. Net sales increased by 62.5 percent year-on-year to EUR 53.9 million, primarily driven by robust sales in the defense segment. Operating profit reached EUR 15.4 million, representing 28.5 percent of net sales. For the full year 2025, net sales amounted to EUR 119.3 million, a 40.1 percent increase from the previous year, fueled by rising demand in the defense market. Sales in the medical technology and engineering services segments remained stable.

In September, Bittium updated its long-term financial growth outlook and refined its strategy to accelerate international growth. The company's order backlog has strengthened significantly due to increased international product sales. Bittium has expanded its partner network to enhance delivery capacity, enabling flexible and rapid product deliveries. Additionally, the company acquired a 24.9 percent stake in MarshallAI, a provider of artificial intelligence solutions.

Within the Defense & Security business segment, order intake grew substantially with two major orders for tactical backbone and SDR radios from customers in Finland and Austria in December. Bittium also signed an agreement to license its Tough SDR technology to a Spanish customer. In its medical technology business, Bittium is focusing on its cardiac and sleep product families, and in engineering services, it has initiated collaboration with Qualcomm's Edge Impulse to develop embedded AI solutions.
