Bittium's 2025 Revenue Up 40%, Defense Business Goes International

Finnish technology company Bittium Oyj has announced significant growth for 2025, with revenues reaching €119.3 million, a 40.1% increase year-over-year. The company attributed this success primarily to the international expansion of its Defense & Security business segment.

Bittium described 2025 as a breakthrough year for the internationalization of its defense operations, leading to a near doubling of its order backlog and operating profit. The company stated that investments in global commercialization efforts began to yield tangible results. Factors contributing to the increased demand for tactical networks and radios include the deteriorating global security situation and European efforts to reduce reliance on non-European suppliers.

The fourth quarter of 2025 was particularly strong, with revenues surging 62.5% to €53.9 million. Operating profit for the quarter stood at €15.4 million. For the full year, operating profit was €19.4 million, representing 16.3% of revenue. In September, Bittium updated its long-term growth expectations and strategy to accelerate international expansion. The company also acquired a 24.9% stake in AI solutions provider MarshallAI.

In the Defense & Security segment, significant orders were secured in December from the defense forces of Finland and Austria. Additionally, the Tough SDR technology was licensed to a Spanish customer. The Medical business focused on its Cardiac and Sleep product families and strengthened its collaboration with Boston Scientific. The Engineering Services segment launched a new embedded AI offering in partnership with Qualcomm's Edge Impulse.
