Black Cardiologists and Executives Alliance Fund Partner to Expand Heart Health Campaign

Washington D.C. – On World Heart Day, the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) and Executives Alliance Fund announced a partnership to expand the "Brother to Brother: Know Your Numbers" campaign across the United States. The program targets the disproportionately high rates of hypertension and cardiovascular disease among Black men.

The collaboration will facilitate the campaign's nationwide expansion through storytelling, community engagement, and the involvement of trusted voices. The goal is to encourage Black men to understand and monitor their health numbers, such as blood pressure, before a crisis occurs. Launched initially as a pilot in 2025, the campaign will now scale up with new investments in community outreach and digital content.

"Too many Black men are living with dangerously high blood pressure without knowing it," said Dr. Kevin F. Kwaku, President of the Association of Black Cardiologists. "Brother to Brother meets Black men where they are—on campuses, in barbershops, at churches, and in neighborhoods. With this partnership, we are expanding a campaign that empowers Black men to take control of their health."

The Executives Alliance Fund is supporting the next phase by investing in culturally relevant digital content, community-based activations, and educational resources. The expanded campaign will initially focus on Southern states, where cardiovascular disease disproportionately affects Black communities. Future phases will include addressing other risk factors like cholesterol and blood sugar.
