Black Excellence Brunch, founded by Trell Thomas, has evolved from an intimate gathering of 20 individuals into a prominent platform celebrating Black culture and achievement. The event, inspired by Southern Sunday dinners, aims to honor cultural icons and amplify their voices in real time.

Despite maintaining a relatively intimate guest list, capped at around 200 attendees, the reach of Black Excellence Brunch has expanded considerably. The event has been hosted at locations such as the Essence Festival, SoFi Stadium, and Martha's Vineyard, generating significant media and social engagement, including 20 million media impressions and 40 million social impressions.

The initiative has attracted a wide array of corporate sponsors, including major companies like Nike, Google, Netflix, Apple TV, P&G, Dove, and Disney. Thomas emphasizes that the event’s value is measured not by its scale, but by its depth and impact on participants and the broader community.
