The Black Philanthropy Circle (BPC) has awarded $250,000 to 10 nonprofit organizations serving Black people and communities in Baltimore. This marks its fifth year of collective giving, bringing total investments to $1.25 million.

The Black Philanthropy Circle (BPC), a donor-advised fund at the Baltimore Community Foundation, has announced grants totaling $250,000 to 10 nonprofit organizations serving Black communities in the Baltimore metropolitan area. This latest round of funding marks the organization's fifth consecutive year of collective giving.
With this announcement, BPC's total investment in the Baltimore community has reached $1.25 million since its inception in 2022. The organization is also focused on building a $2.5 million endowment by the end of 2026 to provide a lasting source of support for Black communities in Baltimore.
"Five years ago, we created the Black Philanthropy Circle to make collective giving a lasting force for Baltimore," said Alicia Wilson, Esq., co-founder of the Black Philanthropy Circle. "Our members are not simply writing checks. We are building relationships, making decisions together, and directing meaningful resources to organizations that understand and serve our communities."
Established in 2022, BPC brings together Black business and civic leaders who pool their charitable resources and collectively decide on funding distribution. Each year, the Circle awards $250,000 to organizations that are Black-led, based in Black communities, or directly support Black people throughout the region. This year's recipients include Arena Players Incorporated, Baltimore's Promise, and Health Care for the Homeless, Inc.
