Black Prong Resort Completes 203 kW Solar Installation

Black Prong Resort, located in Bronson, Florida, has finalized the installation of a 203-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system. The project, completed in partnership with PPM Solar, includes the integration of 452 solar panels across the equestrian and nature resort property.

The resort management stated that the system is expected to provide approximately 75 percent of the electricity required for operations. By generating on-site power, the facility aims to reduce its reliance on the regional utility grid and lower long-term utility expenses.

This installation occurs amidst a broader industry trend where destination resorts are increasingly adopting renewable energy sources to manage rising operational costs. The resort, situated near Goethe State Forest, expects this shift to serve as a primary component of its ongoing energy management strategy.
