Helsinki – Investment firm BlackRock, Inc. informed Kesko Oyj on July 2, 2025, that it has crossed the threshold of five percent of the company's shares and voting rights. This brings BlackRock's aggregate holding in Kesko Oyj to 5.43% of the total shares.
The notification follows group restructuring after the acquisition of HPS Investment Partners (HPS) on July 1, 2025. BlackRock's total holdings, including those via financial instruments, surpassed the five percent mark on April 14, 2025.
Kesko's share capital comprises 400,079,008 shares, with 126,948,028 (31.7%) being A shares and 273,130,980 (68.3%) being B shares. The company itself holds 1,958,976 of its own B shares. BlackRock's direct holding is reported as 5.42% of shares, with no voting rights attached, while holdings through financial instruments are below 5%.
