Blitzy, an autonomous software development company focused on artificial intelligence, has signed a 52,000-rentable-square-foot lease at One Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The deal represents the largest new office lease in Cambridge for 2026, according to JLL, which brokered the transaction on behalf of Blitzy.
The expansion will significantly increase the company's footprint at its global headquarters, which it founded in Cambridge in 2023. Blitzy intends to accommodate over 300 employees in the expanded space, signaling substantial growth from its current team.
The five-year lease covers two floors in Building 200 at One Kendall Square. Blitzy anticipates occupying the space in the second quarter of 2027, following a build-out period. The property is owned by an affiliate of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc.
Blitzy secured $200 million in funding in May 2026 and has quadrupled its headcount in the first half of 2026. This expansion supports the company's growth strategy and its aim to be a significant player in AI development.
