Blood Cancer United Presents Inaugural Awards in New York

Blood Cancer United presented its first-ever Breakthrough Voice and Breakthrough Rising Leader awards during its inaugural Night of Champions event in New York City. The awards recognized Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee and Charlotte Nathanson, respectively, for their contributions to the blood cancer community.

The ceremony, held at the New York Marriott Marquis, was part of the organization's reimagined Breakthroughs Summit. It brought together researchers, patients, survivors, and supporters to honor individuals advancing the understanding and treatment of blood cancers.

Dr. Mukherjee, a physician-scientist and author, received the Breakthrough Voice Award for expanding public understanding of cancer research and innovation. Charlotte Nathanson, a two-time leukemia survivor, was honored with the Breakthrough Rising Leader Award for her advocacy and personal commitment to the field.

E. Anders Kolb, CEO of Blood Cancer United, stated that the awards acknowledge those whose leadership and determination propel progress toward the organization's goal of adding one million years of life for blood cancer patients by 2040.
