Bloom Nutrition's Energy Drinks Grow to Triple Size of Original Business

Bloom Nutrition, originally known for its greens powder, has significantly expanded into the energy drink market, with sales from these new products now tripling the size of its original supplement business.

Company co-founder and CEO Greg LaVecchia stated that beverages, including the soda brand Bloom Pop, now generate between 75 and 80 percent of the company's total revenue. LaVecchia also indicated that Bloom is now among the top five energy drink companies in the U.S., a significant jump from not even being in the top 15 a year prior.

The Austin, Texas-based company, founded in 2019, has experienced rapid growth. It raised $90 million in venture funding in 2024 and received a further investment from Nutrabolt, bringing their total investment to approximately $210 million.

Much of the demand for Bloom's sparkling energy drinks is attributed to popular flavors like Crisp Apple and Shirley Temple. While specific revenue figures for the past year were not disclosed, industry estimates suggest the energy drink business alone has surpassed $500 million in sales, positioning it as a strong competitor against established brands like Red Bull and Monster.
