BLUETTI and UN-Habitat Extend Clean Energy Initiative to Nigeria
Clean energy company BLUETTI and UN-Habitat have launched their second joint initiative in Nigeria, providing solar power systems to families under the 'Lighting An African Family' program.
Global clean energy solutions provider BLUETTI has partnered with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) for their second joint initiative in Nigeria. The project, focused on the 'Lighting An African Family' (LAAF) program, took place in Benue State.
The initiative involved the deployment of several BLUETTI solar power systems to local communities. These systems aim to improve living conditions by providing reliable electricity for lighting, communication, and essential needs in areas lacking stable grid access.
This collaboration marks the second phase of the LAAF program between BLUETTI and UN-Habitat, following an initial project in Uganda earlier this year. The program's objective is to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and promote sustainable energy access.
BLUETTI has a history of supporting clean energy access in Africa, while UN-Habitat focuses on improving human settlements. This expansion into Nigeria, a country with significant energy access challenges, highlights the partners' commitment to scaling sustainable solutions.
