LUDWIGSBURG, Germany – bluu unit, a portfolio company of Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund II, is expanding its expertise in data center infrastructure with the addition of Prior1 GmbH and Prior1 Colocation & Services GmbH.
The acquisition strengthens bluu unit's position in a market driven by increasing demand for digitalization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure. Prior1 specializes in the planning, construction, upgrading, and operation of data centers, server rooms, and data networks. Its capabilities span strategy, requirements planning, risk and location assessment, energy efficiency, and technical design.
Founded in 2008, Prior1 employs approximately 100 people and has completed over 2,400 projects across various sectors, including industry, financial services, healthcare, and the public sector. The company is recognized for its independent, vendor-neutral consulting and high technical quality. It also offers modular data center solutions and its own specialized products.
Prior1 becomes bluu unit's second company focused on data center infrastructure, joining Daterra Solutions GmbH. Together, they will support both new data center construction and the modernization of existing facilities. bluu unit aims to offer integrated solutions covering technical equipment, energy-efficient cooling, and full infrastructure delivery, aspiring to become a leading European provider in the sector.
