The electric sedan version of the BMW i3 is now available for pre-order in Europe, a month ahead of schedule, due to strong market feedback. The First Edition model was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

BMW's electric sedan, the i3, has opened for pre-orders in Europe a month earlier than originally planned, following positive market reception. Customers have been able to place orders since mid-June, a shift from the initial autumn schedule. The vehicle made its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week.
The i3 50 xDrive First Edition is showcased with new paint options, including M Le Castellet Blue, alongside Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Space Silver, Brooklyn Grey, and Eucalyptus Green. Standard equipment includes 20-inch wheels, with 19-inch alternatives available as an option. The M Sport package and Iconic Glow illuminated kidney grille are also standard on this initial version.
Inside, the vehicle features options like Digital White interior trim. Standard amenities comprise a 3D Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon sound system, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Heated steering wheel, privacy glass, and power-adjustable front seats are also included. The car supports 22 kW AC charging and features a powered tailgate.
Optional features for the First Edition include a panoramic glass roof and heated rear seats. An optional electric retractable trailer hitch is also offered, alongside various driver assistance and safety systems. Production is slated to begin in August at BMW's Munich plant, with customer deliveries commencing in the autumn. In the UK, the First Edition starts at approximately £57,905, with the standard i3 priced from £53,005.
