Board, a provider of enterprise planning software, announced the launch of Board Agents, a suite of AI agents developed in collaboration with Microsoft. The agents are built on Microsoft Foundry and leverage Microsoft Azure's agentic AI tools and services to enhance enterprise planning capabilities. This initiative integrates advanced AI directly into business planning processes, initially focusing on finance functions such as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Controller tasks.

Board Agents are designed to support continuous planning and decision-making across various business domains. In addition to the initial finance-focused agents, the company plans to release merchandising and supply chain agents later. Board states that the AI capabilities are natively integrated into its enterprise planning platform, providing a secure and governed environment for using AI in critical planning scenarios.

"As interest in AI accelerates, many customers are looking for clear paths to achieve real ROI," said David Marmer, Chief Product Officer at Board. "Because Board Agents are built around business-contextual use cases that solve real-world problems, customers can reach value faster and easily adapt these agents as their business evolves."

The agents are designed to collaborate on complex planning scenarios, drawing on the company's planning model and data. They are also integrated with Board Foresight for predictive analytics and scenario planning. The new finance agents are expected to be globally available by the end of March 2026 and will also be offered through the Microsoft Marketplace.
