Boca Raton's Private Club, The Sanborn, Receives City Approval
The Sanborn, an eight-story private members' club planned for Boca Raton, has received city approval and is slated to open in 2028.
The Boca Raton Community Redevelopment Agency unanimously approved the construction of The Sanborn, a private members' club, on Tuesday. The eight-story facility, located at 100 NE First Avenue, is scheduled to open in 2028 and will be the first private members' club in downtown Boca Raton, situated opposite Sanborn Square.
Details about the club's interior are still being kept confidential. However, confirmed amenities include a speakeasy, a cigar lounge with private humidor lockers, and a game room featuring golf and Formula 1 simulators. The rooftop will boast a pool deck and a sunset lounge with fire pits offering views of the downtown area.
The club also plans to host exclusive member events, such as watch showcases, sailing excursions, and community-focused philanthropic activities.
"We'd rather people discover it," said Steven Newman, one of The Sanborn's founders. "It's a club for people who live here. You'll walk in, someone will know your name, and there will always be something you haven't found yet."
Membership to the club, developed by Silver Street Hospitality and designed by HDA Architects, is by application and invitation, targeting residents of Boca Raton and surrounding towns seeking an exclusive venue.
