Böckmann Fahrzeugwerke GmbH is expanding its horse trailer range with the Portax K model, which now includes a front exit option. This feature, popular in markets like the United Kingdom and France, is seeing increased interest from riders, breeders, and trainers in Germany.

The Portax K incorporates the benefits of a front exit alongside the established advantages of the Portax series, focusing on convenience, spaciousness, and safety. The primary advantage of the front exit is the safer unloading of the horse, allowing it to walk out facing forwards. This method can be particularly beneficial for young or nervous horses, potentially reducing stress and preventing issues that might arise when reversing down a ramp.

Available in two sizes, the Portax K and the longer Portax L K (60 cm extra length), both models come standard with a solid aluminum floor and walls. They also feature the lowered WCFplus chassis, designed to automotive standards with independent wheel suspension, coil springs, and shock absorbers for a high level of travel comfort.

Standard equipment also includes the Böckmann Multi Safe System (MSS), which allows for quick release of the stall bars in emergencies. The trailer design incorporates a rear ramp/single-wing door combination and a tarpaulin lift with an integrated net. Adjustable, padded center partitions are also included for flexible horse arrangements.
