Flix SE announced on November 28, 2023, the election of Bodo Uebber as the new Chairman of its Supervisory Board. Uebber takes over from Achim Berg, who is stepping down from the board. This appointment is expected to bolster Flix SE's strategy for profitable growth, leveraging Uebber's background in finance and the mobility sector.
Uebber's career includes a significant tenure as a Management Board member at Daimler AG from 2004 to 2019, where he oversaw finance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial services, including digital mobility solutions. He also holds or has held board positions at companies such as Bertelsmann and Adidas, bringing a wealth of corporate governance and financial expertise to Flix SE.
The company extended its gratitude to Achim Berg for his service. Berg had chaired the Supervisory Board since Flix SE's inception in 2022 and previously led the Advisory Board of FlixMobility since 2016. During his tenure, Flix expanded its services, including the launch of FlixTrain and its entry into the U.S. market through acquisitions like Greyhound.
