Boehringer Ingelheim Certified for Human-Animal Bond Commitment
Boehringer Ingelheim has been recognized as a Human-Animal Bond Certified Company by NAVC and HABRI. The certification acknowledges the company's dedication to supporting the human-animal bond through education and research.

Boehringer Ingelheim has achieved certification as a Human-Animal Bond Certified Company, an initiative by the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI). The announcement was made at the American Veterinary Medical Association Convention.
This certification signifies Boehringer Ingelheim's commitment to acknowledging and supporting the human-animal bond, as well as investing in education, training, and research related to its significance. The company aims to support both pet owners and veterinarians through its initiatives.
"Achieving the status of a Human Animal Bond Certification Company is a meaningful designation for our team and our customers; it demonstrates our support for the veterinary profession and our core belief that healthier animals contribute to healthier communities and stronger human connections," said Fabio Paganini, President, US Commercial Business for Boehringer Ingelheim.
Through this certification, Boehringer Ingelheim joins a group of organizations focused on raising awareness about the positive influence of companion animals. The company's involvement includes supporting HABRI's research and conducting internal training on the human-animal bond, making the certification more accessible to veterinary professionals and clinics. The certification itself is a 7.5-hour continuing education course developed by HABRI and NAVC to enhance understanding of the bond's health benefits and its application in veterinary practice. Over 1,280 veterinary professionals have been certified since the program's inception in 2018.
