Bolna AI Raises $6.3 Million to Streamline Enterprise Voice AI Deployment
Bengaluru-based AI startup Bolna AI has secured $6.3 million in seed funding to accelerate enterprise adoption of voice AI. Its platform aims to integrate speech recognition, language models, and telephony systems.

Bengaluru, India – Bolna AI, an artificial intelligence startup focused on voice AI, has announced a $6.3 million seed funding round led by General Catalyst. The capital infusion is intended to help enterprises expedite the deployment of voice AI agents by seamlessly integrating critical components such as speech recognition, language models, and telephony systems.
The core challenge Bolna AI addresses is the complex orchestration required for voice AI systems. This includes making speech recognition, language models, telephony infrastructure, voice synthesis, and workflow automation function reliably at scale. Founded in 2024 by IIT Delhi alumni Maitreya Wagh and Prateek Sachan, Bolna AI positions itself as a voice AI orchestration platform, enabling businesses to launch and manage voice AI agents without extensive custom development.
According to the company, its platform allows enterprises to upload a transcript, configure an agent, acquire a phone number, and initiate AI-driven calling in under 30 minutes. Bolna AI claims to have acquired thousands of paying customers within its first two years of operation, indicating a significant market appetite for rapid voice AI implementation.
Bolna AI's strategy emphasizes model neutrality, integrating a wide array of speech-to-text, large language model, and text-to-speech providers, including names like Deepgram, ElevenLabs, and OpenAI. This approach allows clients to select the best-performing models for their specific use cases and reduces vendor lock-in. The startup is also investing in capabilities for regional languages and dialects, particularly for the Indian market, where enterprise-grade models with low latency can be scarce.
