Boluda Shipping Selects TMEIC Pulse Mobile for Digitalizing Port Operations
Boluda Shipping is enhancing its port operations with TMEIC's Pulse Mobile platform to streamline truck interactions and improve efficiency. The system aims to resolve issues before trucks arrive at the terminal gates.

Boluda Shipping has initiated a significant digital transformation by adopting TMEIC's Pulse Mobile platform. This new system is designed to manage interactions between trucks and terminals, addressing challenges such as increased truck volumes, space limitations, and demands for efficiency and sustainability.
TMEIC's Pulse Mobile allows Boluda to advance key operational and registration processes. The system can resolve up to 80 percent of potential issues before trucks reach the gate, thereby streamlining traffic flow. The platform provides a comprehensive access control solution that strengthens connectivity between Boluda's terminals and the road transport sector, supporting the entire truck journey from pre-arrival validation to exception management and yard coordination.
The initial implementation is taking place at Boluda's Tenerife terminal and integrates seamlessly with existing systems like TOS (Terminal Operating System) and PCS (Port Community System) without requiring their replacement. Previous projects with Pulse Mobile have demonstrated its capability to resolve up to 80 percent of issues before truck arrival, reducing gate cycle times by as much as 50 percent. This significantly mitigates congestion and emissions.
The system also reduces reliance on physical kiosks and printers, potentially lowering maintenance costs by up to 60 percent. Furthermore, it enhances worker safety by allowing personnel to manage processes in safer areas, away from heavy machinery and adverse weather conditions. TMEIC states that this digital shift represents a new generation of connected, data-driven, and sustainable port operations.
