Bombardier has awarded Diamond certification to five of its key aerospace suppliers, recognizing their exceptional operational performance and competitiveness in 2019. The acknowledgements were made during a virtual Diamond Supplier Award Ceremony held last month.
The five recipients of the Diamond certification are AIDC (Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation), DIEHL Aerospace GmbH, FACC Operations, Placeteco Inc., and Plastiques Flexibülb Inc. These companies supply components and systems for Bombardier aircraft, including models like the Global 7500, Challenger 350, and Learjet.
Shauna Gamble, Chief Procurement Officer at Bombardier Aviation, highlighted the crucial role of suppliers in the company's success. "Our suppliers are the key to our success, and they are at the heart of helping us to deliver the industry's finest products," Gamble stated. She added that the Diamond Supplier program motivates the most engaged and efficient professionals in the industry to collaborate towards meeting Bombardier's objectives.
This certification is part of Bombardier's ongoing efforts to streamline its supply chain and foster strong relationships with critical partners. The program aims to ensure consistent quality and efficiency throughout the production process, acknowledging suppliers who demonstrate long-term commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
