Bombardier Delivers First Global 8000 Jet in Asia
Bombardier Inc. has delivered its first Global 8000 business jet in Asia to an undisclosed customer based in Shanghai. This delivery highlights the region's increasing demand for ultra-long-range aircraft connecting major business hubs.
Bombardier Inc. announced Thursday the delivery of its first Global 8000 business jet in Asia to an undisclosed customer based in Shanghai. This delivery marks a significant step for ultra-long-range business aviation in the region.
The aircraft is designed to meet the specific mission profiles valued in Asia, where customers prioritize nonstop travel between major financial centers. The Global 8000 enables city pairs such as Shanghai to New York, Shanghai to Dublin, and Shanghai to Sydney.
With a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles, the Global 8000 offers enhanced operational flexibility. Bombardier states the aircraft can access 30% more airports than its closest rivals and features the industry's lowest cabin altitude for an aircraft in production.
"This first Global 8000 delivery in Asia reflects the region’s continued appetite for aircraft that combine range, speed and an exceptional level of comfort," said Emmanuel Bornand, Vice President, Sales, International. He added that Asia is a strategic market for Bombardier.
The delivery reinforces Bombardier's presence in the region. The company recently announced plans to expand its service center in Singapore, further strengthening its footprint and customer support capabilities across the Asia-Pacific.
