Bombardier Launches FastTrack Training Program in Hartford

Aerospace manufacturer Bombardier Inc. has announced the launch of its FastTrack training program in Hartford, Connecticut. The program is designed to accelerate the process for new aircraft maintenance technicians to obtain their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.

Originally developed in collaboration with Wichita State University, the training is now being implemented in Hartford in partnership with CT Aero Tech. Bombardier plans to extend the program to other service locations across the United States, aiming to meet the growing demand for skilled labor to support its expanding fleet and operational footprint.

The FastTrack program targets candidates with a minimum of 18 months of hands-on industry experience in either airframe or powerplant disciplines, or 30 months of combined experience. The curriculum includes an intensive two- to four-week classroom refresher focused on FAA written examinations, followed by two weeks of practical instruction.

Bombardier highlights the program's role in developing a skilled maintenance workforce and enhancing its capacity to deliver customer service. The collaboration with CT Aero Tech, part of the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), with state collaborator AdvanceCT, aims to create new career pathways for residents and ensure the availability of needed talent for Bombardier.
