International fashion retailer bonprix is deepening its commitment to sustainability with multiple new initiatives. The company has released its third Sustainable Collection, offering environmentally conscious fashion styles to customers in Germany and 19 other countries for the spring-summer season. Alongside this, bonprix has introduced a new baby clothing line certified by the Grüner Knopf standard, available online since mid-January.

Further strengthening its responsible business practices, bonprix has also initiated a pilot project with Fashion for Good startup TrusTrace. This project aims to enhance visibility and transparency within the company's deeper supply chain levels, a move that began in January.

The latest Sustainable Collection continues to prioritize resource-efficient manufacturing and sustainable materials such as organic cotton, cotton from the Cotton made in Africa initiative, TENCEL™ Lyocell, recycled polyester, and LENZING™ ECOVERO™. The 25-piece collection includes items like shirts dyed with natural colors from GOTS-certified organic cotton and a denim skirt made from recycled polyester.

"We increasingly observe how important responsible corporate action has become for consumers, and the feedback from our customers shows that sustainability is taking on an ever-greater significance," stated Rien Jansen, Managing Director of Purchasing, Marketing, and Retail at bonprix Handelsgesellschaft mbH. He added that bonprix has long been active in this area and is driving sustainability forward through its collections.

The new Grüner Knopf-certified baby collection aims to offer ecologically and fairly produced fashion for infants. The Grüner Knopf is a German government-issued label that requires strict social and ecological criteria to be met. Bonprix has successfully completed the certification process for its GOTS-certified baby collection and is displaying the label alongside its own 'Sustainable Product' label. The company has already obtained the Grüner Knopf certification for other products and plans to apply for it on more items going forward.
