Borr Drilling Divests Mexican Joint Ventures
Borr Drilling Limited has agreed to sell its 51% stake in Mexican joint ventures, Perfomex, to its local partner. The transaction aims to streamline the company's operations and focus on core activities.

Borr Drilling Limited announced Tuesday it has entered into definitive agreements to divest its 51% equity interest in Mexican joint ventures Perforaciones Estratégicas e Integrales Mexicana S.A. de C.V. and Perforaciones Estratégicas e Integrales Mexicana II, S.A. de C.V. The sale is to its long-standing local partner in Mexico.
Upon completion, Borr Drilling will have fully divested its stake in Perfomex, with the local partner becoming the sole owner. The move is part of the company's strategy to streamline its operations and optimize its global footprint, allowing for a stronger focus on its core business areas.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. "This transaction is strategically aligned with our objective to simplify our structure and reinforce our focus on our global operations," said CEO Svend Antonisen. The company cited the need to optimize its portfolio as a driver for the divestment.
Borr Drilling, headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, provides offshore drilling services to the oil and gas industry. This divestment is not expected to impact the company's other international operations or its overall fleet utilization strategy.
