Bosch Renningen Research Campus Celebrates Ten Years

Robert Bosch GmbH is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Renningen Research Campus in Germany. Opened in 2015, the campus has become a central hub for the company's innovation activities, coordinating the work of approximately 1,750 experts globally.

The research conducted at the campus centers on future-oriented fields such as automation, digitalization, electrification, artificial intelligence, climate protection, and healthcare. These areas are crucial for advancing Bosch's technological capabilities and innovation strength.

Dr. Stefan Hartung, Chairman of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH, highlighted the campus's significance as the core of the company's global research and advanced engineering efforts. He stated that the innovation generated at Renningen is a key driver for Bosch's success, evidenced by its involvement in about one in four of Bosch's annual patent applications.

Since 2022, teams from the Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) division have also been active at the Renningen site, contributing expertise in sensor development for assisted and automated driving. This has expanded the employee base at the campus to around 2,100 individuals.

Udo-Martin Gómez, Head of Bosch Research, described the campus as a place where innovation thrives through exchange across departments and disciplines. Winfried Kretschmann, Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, attended the event and acknowledged the campus's role in strengthening the region's technological prowess.
