Boston Consulting Group Revenue Reaches $14.4 Billion, Grows 7 Percent Globally

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) increased its global revenue by seven percent to $14.4 billion USD in fiscal year 2025. Despite macroeconomic volatility and geopolitical challenges, the consulting firm saw growth driven by strong demand for transformations, particularly those powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Revenue from AI-related transformations grew by 25 percent year-over-year, now accounting for over 40 percent of BCG's global turnover. The firm has integrated AI tools into its daily operations, with approximately 4,000 employees developing AI workflows and automation solutions. "Today, artificial intelligence forces every company to undergo profound transformation," stated Michael Brigl, Senior Partner and head of Central Europe at BCG. "This also applies to us: BCG is currently undergoing the biggest transformation in its history. AI is not simply an additional element of our consulting; it is transforming how we work and create value for our clients."

The company's global workforce expanded to 33,500 employees. CEO Christoph Schweizer highlighted that the solid performance in a difficult environment demonstrates a sound strategy and the fruitful results of an early focus on AI. Growth was reported across all business regions.

Central Europe, with Germany as its primary market, contributed significantly, as revenue from AI projects doubled year-over-year. Growth was mainly driven by projects in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, healthcare, and industrial companies. The specialized units Inverto (procurement/supply chain management) and Platinion (technology architecture) also reported strong performance.

BCG is expanding its AI offerings through its technology unit, BCG X, which develops customized AI solutions and agent-based applications for specific industries. The firm also collaborates with leading technology providers such as Anthropic, AWS, Google, and OpenAI.
