Bouygues Group has detailed a strategy centered on leveraging innovation to tackle significant challenges of the century, such as climate change, energy transition, and resource limitations. The company aims to provide solutions that enable territories and businesses to adapt to evolving conditions and enhance their resilience, while simultaneously minimizing the environmental impact of its operations.

The group's innovation strategy is built upon three complementary pillars: 'Explore & Explain' (analyzing trends and scenarios), 'Engage & Catalyse' (fostering ecosystems and collaboration), and 'Transform to Perform' (supporting operational transformation for improved performance). Key priorities include strengthening the resilience of its businesses and clients against climate-related challenges and accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence across the group.

Bouygues is showcasing its innovations at VivaTech in Paris from June 17-20. The company highlights how its diverse projects in construction, energy, telecommunications, and media are designed to address contemporary issues.

A case in point is Colas's StreetADAPT initiative, which helps cities adapt to climate change impacts. This approach offers tailored solutions like cool pavement technologies, green infrastructure, and integrated stormwater management systems, aiming to increase urban resilience against heatwaves, intense rainfall, and biodiversity loss. The goal is to reduce perceived temperatures, mitigate flood risks, and improve urban living comfort.
