Bouygues reported its full-year 2024 financial results on March 6, 2025, showing robust performance across its business segments. Group sales grew by 1% year-on-year to €56.8 billion, driven primarily by its construction arm and energy services division, Equans. Current operating profit from activities increased by €124 million to €2.535 billion.
The strategic plan execution at Equans was highlighted as particularly successful. The division achieved a margin from activities of 3.5%, up from the previous year, and a cash conversion rate of 98% before working capital requirements. Equans also maintained a net cash position exceeding €1.5 billion. Meanwhile, the backlog within Bouygues' construction businesses reached a record €32.2 billion, offering visibility for future projects.
Group free cash flow before working capital saw an 8% increase, reaching €1.268 billion. The company also managed to improve its net debt by €185 million by the end of 2024, despite making net acquisitions totaling over €1.1 billion, including the acquisition of La Poste Telecom.
Looking ahead to 2025, Bouygues anticipates a slight increase in both sales and current operating profit from activities, despite ongoing global economic uncertainties. The company's six business segments will focus on adapting to market developments and improving profitability.
