Bouygues Reports Solid 2024 Results with Increased Revenue and Profit
French conglomerate Bouygues announced strong 2024 financial results, with revenue reaching €56.8 billion and operating profit showing significant improvement. The company met its strategic objectives, driven by construction and energy services.
French diversified group Bouygues has reported its financial results for the fiscal year 2024, highlighting solid performance and the achievement of strategic objectives.
The group's revenue reached €56.8 billion, a 1% increase year-on-year. This growth was primarily driven by the strong performance of Bouygues Construction and Equans, the group's energy services division. The operating profit from ordinary activities (ROCA) rose to €2.535 billion, an increase of €124 million compared to the previous year. Equans saw a notable improvement in its ROCA, up by €135 million, with Bouygues Construction also contributing positively.
In contrast, Bouygues Immobilier, the property development arm, experienced a challenging market environment. Its operating profit declined by €79 million to -€51 million, impacted by reduced activity and provisions for its projects.
The group's net profit attributable to shareholders amounted to €1.058 billion, an increase of €18 million. Net financial debt stood at €6.1 billion at the end of December 2024, showing an improvement. Bouygues proposed a dividend of €2.00 per share for 2024, a 5.3% increase from the previous year.
Bouygues Construction's order book reached a record €32.2 billion, providing visibility for future business. The company also emphasized its commitment to sustainability, with all six of its business lines achieving SBTi certification.
