Bouygues Telecom and Mediapro agree on TELEFOOT channel distribution
Bouygues Telecom and Mediapro have signed a distribution deal that will make the TELEFOOT football channel available to Bouygues Telecom's broadband and mobile customers.
French telecom operator Bouygues Telecom and media group Mediapro announced a distribution agreement on August 14, 2020.
The deal will provide Bouygues Telecom's ADSL, FTTH (fiber), and mobile subscribers access to TELEFOOT, Mediapro's new football channel. The channel is set to broadcast matches from France's Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, as well as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League for the 2020-2021 season.
Bouygues Telecom will promote TELEFOOT to its subscriber base to ensure broad exposure for the channel. The partnership aligns with Bouygues Telecom's strategy of offering customers premium content, including live sports. Mediapro aims to make TELEFOOT the primary destination for football fans in France.
Mediapro, a significant player in sports rights and content production, is expanding its reach through this agreement. Bouygues Telecom is one of France's largest telecommunication providers, with its network covering 99% of the population.
