Bouygues Telecom to Acquire La Poste Telecom for €950 Million
Bouygues Telecom has entered into an exclusivity agreement to acquire the French virtual operator La Poste Telecom, adding 2.3 million mobile customers to its base.
Bouygues Telecom has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of La Poste Telecom from the La Poste group. The transaction represents an enterprise value of €963.4 million, with an acquisition price for shares set at €950 million. The deal includes an exclusive distribution partnership involving La Poste, La Banque Postale, and La Poste Telecom.
The acquisition allows Bouygues Telecom to integrate La Poste Telecom's 2.3 million mobile subscribers into its own network. Under the current terms, La Poste Mobile customers will transition to the Bouygues Telecom radio network once the existing wholesale agreement with SFR terminates at the end of 2026.
Bouygues Telecom anticipates that the migration will be completed in 2027, with the acquisition expected to contribute approximately €140 million to annual EBITDAaL starting in 2028. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval, consultation with employee representative bodies, and the non-exercise of pre-emption rights by SFR.
