BPC Instruments and limu.eco partner for additive biodegradability testing
BPC Instruments AB has partnered with limu.eco GmbH to evaluate the biodegradability of additives derived from aquatic biomass. BPC will provide external technical expertise for laboratory testing and data analysis.
Lund, Sweden – BPC Instruments AB has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with limu.eco GmbH, a Swiss clean-tech company developing additives from aquatic biomass for biodegradable plastics. Under the agreement, BPC Instruments will serve as limu.eco’s external technical partner for biodegradability evaluations.
The collaboration will focus on assessing the biodegradability of additives produced by limu.eco, which are intended for use in biodegradable plastics and other material applications. This work is crucial for validating the environmental performance of the new materials.
Laboratory testing will be conducted using BPC’s closed-chamber respirometry system, BPC® Blue. The scope includes analytical documentation and data interpretation to support limu.eco’s internal research and development efforts.
