Bravida to deliver HVAC solution for Fazer's new chocolate factory

Bravida Finland has been contracted to deliver the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) installations for Fazer's new chocolate factory in Lahti, southern Finland. The factory will span 34,000 square metres, and the contract value is approximately EUR 2.7 million.
The new facility represents Fazer's largest single investment to date and aims to bolster Finnish food exports. Bravida's scope of work includes the installation of over one kilometre of ventilation ducts, along with large air handling units, requiring extensive planning and coordination.
Skanska is the main contractor for the project. Bravida's work on-site has commenced, with the majority of installations slated for completion during 2026. The project is expected to employ approximately 400 people at its peak during the installation phase.
Mikko Jokitöyrä, Branch Manager for HVAC Contracting at Bravida Finland, highlighted the importance of close cooperation for the project's success. Juha Ruokolainen, Project Manager at Skanska, noted that previous collaborative experience is crucial for this demanding undertaking.
