Bravida's History Traces Back to 1922
Installation services company Bravida was formed in 2000 but traces its roots to BPA, founded in 1922. The company has been listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since 2015.

The installation services company Bravida was formed in 2000 through the merger of the former Swedish building and installation company BPA and Telenor's installation business. However, the company's origins date back to 1922 with the formation of FBA (Företaget Fackföreningarnas Byggproduktion AB) by construction unions, which later became BPA.
Bravida's history is deeply embedded in the Swedish construction sector. Its predecessor, BPA, was a significant player in various major projects over the decades, including the construction of the Tranebergsbron bridge in 1934 and Stockholm's Globen (now Avicii Arena) in 1986. During the "Million Programme" in the 1960s, BPA undertook substantial contracts in housing construction.
The current Bravida organization was established in 2000 when BPA merged with the Norwegian company Telenor's installation operations. The company has focused on installations for electrical, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems. Bravida expanded its operations to Denmark in 2003 by acquiring Semco A/S and to Norway in 2009 by acquiring Siemens Installation A/S.
The company was listed on Nasdaq Stockholm in 2015. Bravida has participated in numerous significant infrastructure projects. These include ventilation installations for Stockholm's Citybanan tunnel and installations at the new University Hospital in Östfold, Norway, and Aarhus, Denmark. In 2013, the company was commissioned to modernize the signal system for the Danish rail network, a project considered one of the largest of its kind globally at the time.
