Brenntag to Distribute BASF Cleaning Solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa
Brenntag has signed a new distribution agreement with BASF to expand access to cleaning solutions for home and industrial use across key markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Chemical distributor Brenntag has entered into a new agreement with BASF to distribute cleaning solutions for the home care and industrial sectors across seven Sub-Saharan African countries. The agreement covers South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.
Under the partnership, Brenntag gains access to a significant portion of BASF's cleaning portfolio. This includes surfactant systems for surface cleaning and laundry care ingredients designed for stain removal, fabric protection, and color preservation.
The collaboration combines BASF's technological expertise with Brenntag's regional market reach, technical knowledge, and supply chain network. Both companies aim to enable customers to develop effective, scalable, and more sustainable cleaning formulations for the growing African markets.
Brenntag stated that the agreement enhances its offering to the home care and industrial cleaning sectors, providing access to ingredients that support cleaning performance and sustainability objectives. The companies anticipate that this partnership will create new opportunities to deliver high-performance solutions to a wider customer base in the region.
