BRI Reports IDR 31.2 Trillion Net Profit in Q2 2026

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has posted a net profit of IDR 31.2 trillion for the second quarter of 2026, representing a 17.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The bank reported sustained business growth despite prevailing economic and industry shifts.

BRI's total assets reached IDR 2,352 trillion, an 11.7% year-on-year rise. Loans and financing saw a 16.2% increase to IDR 1,646 trillion. Third-party funds grew by 6.7% to IDR 1,581 trillion, while net interest income rose by 9.9% to IDR 80.5 trillion.

BRI President Director Hery Gunardi stated that the results demonstrate the effectiveness of the bank's ongoing transformation. He emphasized that growth is measured not only by speed but also by its foundation in stronger fundamentals and its benefit to the wider economy.

The bank is continuing its transformation under the BRIVolution Reignite program, focusing on strengthening its funding base, improving core businesses, and developing new growth avenues. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) remain a core focus, constituting 75.1% of BRI Group's total loan and financing portfolio.
