Biotechnology company Brii Biosciences has unveiled BRiSC™, a proprietary siRNA therapeutics discovery platform designed to accelerate the development of next-generation medicines targeting multiple pathways.
Brii Biosciences Limited has announced the launch of BRiSC™ (Bispecific RNAi Silencing), a proprietary discovery platform for RNA-based therapeutics. The platform aims to enhance the discovery and development of small interfering RNA (siRNA) medicines.
BRiSC™ integrates four key technology areas: sequence optimization, chemical modification, dual-targeting architectures, and targeted delivery. These capabilities are intended to improve the selectivity, performance, and therapeutic reach of siRNA-based drugs, enabling the creation of differentiated treatments.
The company is initially focusing the platform's dual-targeting capabilities on prevalent metabolic dysfunctions. This approach allows a single siRNA therapeutic to silence two distinct targets simultaneously, addressing diseases with complex biology and overlapping comorbidities.
Brii Bio has invested in its internal discovery organization, with laboratories in Beijing and Shanghai supporting its RNA technology capabilities. These expanded R&D capacities form the foundation for BRiSC™, which is currently driving several internal discovery programs.
