Britain Needs Both Fossil Fuels and Renewables for Industrial Stability

E2 Energy Partners is advocating for a reassessment of Britain's energy policy, emphasizing that industrial stability, energy security, and economic growth must not be compromised in the pursuit of net-zero emissions.

Industries such as manufacturing and data centers depend on a continuous electricity supply. The International Energy Agency projects that electricity consumption in data centers will double by 2030 due to the growth of artificial intelligence. E2 Energy Partners stresses that Britain must prepare for this increasing demand while ensuring the energy supply for existing industries.

Fossil fuels will continue to play a role as a backup for reliable electricity generation during the transition period, until renewable energy sources and new technologies like small modular reactors and battery technology are sufficiently developed and scalable. The company advocates for decentralized renewable energy networks, supported by appropriate backup systems.
